Popular co-op platformer Bread & Fred is getting a physical release for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Strictly Limited, in partnership with Atari, has announced a Limited Edition of Sand Castles Studio's charming yet notoriously challenging platformer, giving fans and collectors another way to add the game to their shelves.
Bread & Fred puts players in control of two penguins tied together by a rope as they attempt to climb a massive snowy mountain. What initially sounds like a simple journey quickly becomes a demanding platforming challenge where coordination, timing, and communication between both players are essential.
Bread & Fred Limited Edition Coming to PS5 and Switch
The physical release includes the complete Bread & Fred experience, with support for both local and online co-op.
Those who prefer to tackle the mountain alone can also play the dedicated single-player mode, where your climbing partner is replaced by Jeff the Rock.
The Limited Edition also includes Speedrun Mode for players looking for an additional challenge, as well as content from the extensive Laboratory Update, which introduces additional mechanics, challenges, and hidden secrets to discover.
Strictly Limited is handling the physical release in partnership with Atari. The Limited Edition will be available for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, with a price of €29.99 / $34.99.
