One of the biggest questions surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI has finally been answered. During a recent update, Geoff Keighley confirmed that the standard edition of GTA 6 will launch with a $80 price tag, putting an end to months of speculation that Rockstar Games might become the first major publisher to charge $100 for a base AAA title.
For months, rumors suggested that GTA 6 could redefine game pricing, but it appears Rockstar has decided to stay below the triple-digit mark.
Standard Edition Confirmed at $80
According to Geoff Keighley, the base version of Grand Theft Auto VI will retail for $79.99, following the recent trend of higher prices for blockbuster releases.
While the price is above the previous $70 standard, it stops short of the widely discussed $100 figure that many players feared.

Ultimate Edition Will Cost $100
Players looking for additional content will have the option to purchase the Ultimate Edition, which will be priced at $100.
Rockstar has yet to reveal exactly what this edition includes, but fans can expect exclusive digital bonuses, GTA Online content, cosmetic items, and other premium extras.
Good News for GTA Fans
Considering the game's massive development budget and unprecedented anticipation, many expected GTA 6 to become the first AAA title with a $100 base price. Instead, Rockstar appears to have settled on an $80 standard edition while reserving the $100 price point for the premium version.
As the November launch approaches, more details regarding pre-orders, special editions, and additional content are expected to be announced.
